ABOUT OUR LABEL:

See the fiddles on our label? That's because we are in the Fiddletown appellation. But people often ask about the dog and cat theme. Dogs and the cats they love are important vineyard managers at DAMAS Vineyards. They protect our crop by keeping the gophers and other pests in check, as well as providing a morale boost for the vineyard workers.

Scooter, the 'S' in DAMAS, and her paramour, Tux the cat, are represented on our label. Below is a photo of Scooter and Tux being amorous, and another of Scooter and Tux patrolling the vineyard just after the 2001 harvest, which turned out to be Scooter's last harvest.
